About CAS
established in 1971, California Associate Staff (CAS) is the exclusive bargaining entity for Associate Staff employed by the California Teachers Association.
About CTA
Founded in 1863, the California Teachers Association has become one of the strongest advocates for educators in the country.
About NSO
NSO is the the world’s largest union of union staff. It has grown from a mere 35 members in a handful of states in 1969, to 4,093 (as of August 2018) from 89 affiliates in 50 states.

CAS LEADERSHIP
The Representative Council is the policy making body of CAS which derives its power from, and is responsible to, the general membership. The reps act as the liaison between the members and the Council. The Representative Council meets in regular sessions 6 times a year. The term of office for reps is two years, and each rep may serve two consecutive terms.
